An excellent example of this is the entry entitled ‘Los cachorros’, posted in the ‘Moleskine’ section of his weblog. In this entry, Thays comments on an article published by Javier Agreda that tries to group together the first three writers published by Estruendo Mudo (Johann Page, Luis Hernán Castañeda and Carlos Gallardo).[8] What strikes Thays most about this article is the responses it provoked in the writers themselves. Gallardo replied in his weblog (‘Generación estruendo’), followed by Page in his weblog (‘De generaciones’) and Thays notes that both writers object to being grouped together rather being treated as original and to being referred to as ‘literatura adolescente’, which might appear to be a lesser genre. Another posting, entitled ‘Respuesta a un escritor joven’, confirms Thays’ sympathy for the position of (these) young writers: ‘le recomiendo que no se fije en lo que la crítica buena o mala dice de su obra… simplemente, agache la cabeza y escriba con todo lo que sabe, y diga todo lo que tiene que decir.
